How to install the AgentAve IDX plugin for WordPress

1. Download the plugin.
   1. Browse to http://agentave.com
   2. Click on the link for AgentAve-WP (WordPress Plugin).
   3. Click on the Download link
      1. Save the Zip file
      2. Note where it is saved (the desktop may be easiest).
2. Log into the WordPress Dashboard for your web site.
3. Click on Plugins – Add New
4. Click Upload
5. Click Browse
   1. Browse to the saved file (agentave-wp.zip) from step 1c.
6. Click Install Now
7. Complete your WordPress FTP information and click proceed.
8. Click Activate Plugin.

AgentAve needs to know the PAGE (not post) on your web site that will act as the container page for your IDX display.  Therefore, if you have not yet created one, please do it now.

Setup AgentAve-WP

1. Click Pages – Add New
2. Enter the Page’s title
   1. If you have permalinks activated (I think you should), then the page’s title will be converted to the page link.  So, if you enter “MLS Search” as the page title, the link for the new page will be “mls-search”.
3. Copy the link for your IDX page.
4. Save the page.  You do not need to enter content, although you could…
5. Click on Settings – AgentAve
6. Enter your AgentAve Customer ID (enter 0 if you don’t know it, yet).
7. Enter your MLS Search page from step 3.
8. Ignore the “our people” page, for now.
9. Set Testing to NO.  (this could be useful later, but not needed at this point).
10. Click Update Settings.

That’s it!  Now, browse to your web site and click on the Search link from step 3.  You should see a search screen for the listings.
